A payout minimum is the smallest amount a firm will process: either a minimum profit since the last withdrawal, a minimum request size, or both. It rarely appears in marketing and routinely delays first payouts.

Worked examples (checked 28 October 2026): Topstep requires net-positive profit since your last payout and processes requests from $125. FTMO Futures sets a $20 minimum withdrawal and demands new profit cover 50% of the requested amount - so on a funded Growth account you cannot simply withdraw the whole balance; half of every request must be freshly earned. The 5%ers asks $500 minimum on High Stakes.

The effect: minimums shape withdrawal strategy. A trader up $300 on a firm with a $500 minimum must either keep risking the money or wait - and waiting keeps the exposure on. Pair the minimum with the cycle length to see the true "speed to cash".
