Payout frequency is how often a funded account can pay: fixed calendar cycles (commonly 5 to 30 days) or on-demand withdrawal once stated conditions are met. It is the speed-to-cash term, and firms increasingly sell it as a choice.
The models in the market (checked 28 October 2026): FTMO pays every 14 days on its CFD accounts, every 4-5 days on Futures; FundedNext lets you choose at checkout - a 21-day first cycle then 14 days, a 3-profitable-day cycle at a 60% split, or on-demand at 90% once the account has grown 2% with no day above 40% of profit; Topstep pays on request after 5 winning days of $150+; The 5%ers pays every 5 business days on Stellar 1-Step.
The trade-off is structural: fast or on-demand cycles almost always carry a lower split or stricter conditions. Speed is a product, and it has a price in the share. Frequency across firms: payout frequency compared; the share side: profit split.
